Bought a pair at the NEC Today. They look really nice quality and have a bag to store them. Tried them on the car and they are amazing. Like lorry mirrors. You can see everthing. Highly recommended.

I also bought a pair at the NEC yesterday (19th) from Milenco.

I think they are a very good mirror and a huge improvement on the Suck-it-and-See that I was previously using. Easy to attach and like Freddy says they are large like lorry mirrors.

Thanks freddy and Meister.

We have to buy new mirrors, after reading the recent topic regarding towing mirrors on the forum, as we have a new tug and our existing mirrors don't have the requisite 'e' mark on the back, so we thought we would get the new Milenco Grand Aero ones.

Although they have been praised in various caravan magazines, no one seems to have them in stock yet. The Milenco website is only showing the ordinary Aero ones, not the bigger Grand Aero ones. We were hoping to buy some locally, but I think we will have to contact North Staffs Caravans as Tom did.

I fear that those who bought mirrors before this week have in fact the old pattern and not the "GRAND AERO" mirrors. JTS

Went to a dealership and asked if they have the New Milenco Grand Aero towing mirrors and was told yes, they're down there on that shelf. When I looked they were all the Milenco 'teardrop' ones and the assistant looked blank when I described the Grand Aero's. It was clear they had not heard of them!

Tom, please let me know if it was the Grand Aero's you got for

I received an email from Milenco recently which contained the following for your information :-

" I can advise that the Convex Grand Aero Mirror's are available from caravan dealerships now, the Flat Grand Aero Mirror's can be purchased at the end of March 2008."

The mirrors in the 2008 Towsure catalogue are not the "GRAND" aero mirrors. I contacted three dealerships today, all have excellent accessory shops, two are very large, all are very reliable and I have dealt with them for years. All three stated that they have NOT received a spply of the new "GRAND" aero mirrors. One has said they will arrange delivery to me direct from Milenco. JTS

Just been looking at the new truck style mirrors and to be honest i am not keen on the look compared to the ordinary Aero ones. They have far better looking shape in my opinion

As I said above, we bought ours at the NEC on Tuesday. Got them direct from the Milenco stand after a good chat with Nigel there.

Yes they are large BUT thats why we bought them.

Want as much rear view as possible as it seems just so much easier to see whats going on in a large mirror compared to a smaller one.

Dont really care what they look like as long as they do the job.

Thanks Bill, for the info from your Milenco e-mail.

We've always used bigger mirrors for towing and I agree with Meister that they do seem to make it that much easier to see what's going on.

We've always used the flat glass and wonder what the merits are with convex, or even using one flat, one convex, as they are selling them as either a pair of flat, a pair of convex or 1 of each.

We bought a a pair of convex and when putting them side by side with our cars mirrors the view is the same (except there is more of it lol) re how far away things appear.
