mill farm in sommerset

going to Mill Farm Caravan & Camping Park next week ,so far the 2 reviews weve seen say it is terrible ,anyone been recently, whats it really like?

Hi jonny5,we went to mill farm app.3 yrs ago, nice size pitches, club, horse riding, plenty for kids to do,but pitches were'nt well kept, site staff did'nt have the bestof attitudes, and worst of all, anyone can walk into the site/site club,Iwas asked if Iwanted to buy cheap cigs(I don't smoke)by a polish guy who was quite drunk,as was his 2 friends,I then watched him approach 3 young girls who where scared of him,I spoke to management who then removed them from the club. They really need site security or site/club passes.Cheers,stuart1

Hi Jonny 5, we went there in August & found it to be good. They could do with some sort of security & parts were looking tired & needed updating. We were quite happy with our pitch although I would of been unhappy on some parts of the park. There was plenty going on for the children which it is geared towards. Would we go back? Yes - as long as the children are with us!! We have 3 girls aged 12, 9 & 3. Hope that this helps.

We are off to Mill Farm this week over the half term break, these reviews are worrying me, we are heading there as it looked good for the kids, it's our first time with our new van as-well, hope we get a good pitch !

my workmate went there at the end of august. I'm sorry to say that he could not think of one good point about it(and he's the type to caravan anywhere).

We went there a couple of years back would never go back, one of the worst sites we have been too along with Lady's Mile in Dawlish

Johnny 5, let me know how you got on at Mill Farm, we have just returned after 3 nights there and for our first trip out in our new van with friends, we had a fantastic time. Yes, I agree that things are a bit old and dated, but you make of a holiday what you put into it. The children loved being out in their own playgrounds and the swimming pool was a bonus with the wet weather, so all in all a great time had by all.

hi Lindsey, when we booked we was told the site would be full, when we got there it was empty, the club was only open every other day ,the shop was closed and the weather was terrible, also our awning got flooded. The staff though were great they laid sand and stone to sort out our flooded awning and sorted out scaffolding planks so we could get our wheelchair bound daughter to the caravan.Even after all this we still had a great time,we had the swimming baths to ourselves ,the only downdside wasthere was no disabled changing facilities at the pool ,but the management have said they will look into this.
