Just looked at the met office web site for Shobdon airfield weather record station, which is only a couple of miles away.

-8.7 deg c at 6am, that's cold!!

In my caravan we have a cosy 22Deg and the water is still running, just.

Looking increasingly like we will have a white christmas, probably due to frost and fog more than snow though.

The site water is froze solid and been that way for several days, the cassette disposal point is out of order due to a burst pipe. Having to use my hot water to thaw the disposal out, before I can empty the loo and then a couple of buckets of water to flush. I wonder if I qualify for a cold weather payment?

Still happy in the van though and looking forward to cooking the turkey and all the trimmings in our caravan on christmas day.

Merry christmas to all fellow forum members and the staff at Practical caravan and hopefully a happy warm new year too.

Hi Steve, 4-6 inches of snow here in GoC, and freezing hard as I type. My trusty old 4x4 has been working hard for the last two days!. Very pretty at first, but a bit of a drag when it turned to slush, and then froze.

Coldest I ever suffered was in Iceland, on a glacier at -18c. Never again!
