mirrors

Can anyone tell me what the legal status is regards mirrors, do you need to have both extended mirrors on the car for towing or can just one be used, i am sure you must have one on with sides of the car

i think it's just the one on the offside, there was an article about this i think in either this month or last in the practical caravan.

There is a legal requirement to have an adequate view behind - "adequate" isn't defined in law but a straightforward definition is that you need to be able to see BOTH rear corners of the caravan - if you need one on the driver's side you'll need one on the nearside.

Towing mirrors aren't expensive, particularly compared to the cost of a caravan, why compromise safety?
