SUCK-IT-&-SEE CARAVAN MIRRORS.
I have at the moment the mirrors with the elastic straps and am not to happy with them so looking on Ebay and found the above mirrors about a little under £30.
Are they as good as they claim?
Please let me know as I am about to part with my money.

Haven't tried those but we use milenco aero. They are much better than the rubber strap jobs we had previously.

The Milenco are by far the best, good long arms but within the law, vibration free and easy to attach and adjust. All the Milenco range are very, very good and well made

I have the Milenco Aero at £54 pounds which I think are the best however check out the towsure magazine page 152 there are universal towing mirrors that look very similar to the milenco aero mirror both in size and attachment method at a price of £23 pounds worth looking before you buy anything else

I am thinking of upgrading but
Whats the difference between the Flat and convex mirrors?
Are there any benifits to use the same type i;e in pairs or one of each?
Thanks

Hi Kev
The difference with the flat mirror you get a true vison of any vehicle overtaking you, with the convex ,the angle is wider giving you greater vision but the image in the mirror is smaller. I use a plain(flat) mirror on the passanger side and a convex on the drivers side thus getting a larger angle of view and also rely on the drivers side vehicle mirror to get a true view of distance as my Milenco mirrors are the clamp on type. The other thing I like about the Milenco mirror other than the quality is when I have the mirrors mounted they are at the same parallel distance to the vehicle mirror which means when I power the mirrors to fold inwards to avoid them getting knocked when at port they remain in the same position ready for use when folded out.A minor thing but somthing I like

Hi Von,
Do they sell them as you have mentioned i.e; one convex and one flat?
I have only done a quick search and found they are sold as pairs of the same type.

I say Kev Old Chap how are you? last soke to you with the old back trouble.
Im very concerned for you as Im sure I have read somewhere you are changing your and really dont want you to doanymore mischief trying to get your van down those bloody ladders .
Now back to the first part of the thread those suck it and see thingies so many bad points ,one is obscuring part of vision and I would certainly be concerned with extra weight the motor
the original mirrow has to turn ,
but thats just me.
Ive give up with those two white machine now I took your advise and I sleep better now
you take care

And as the Lord has said where the devil have you been?
Now for even the Lord to have some feelings towards you,
well, you must be highly rated and missed by him as well

Yes about to change the van, thats why I want to change the mirrors, as the old van I could see right through, but with the newer one some one has filled in the back window

He He

Think I'll go with the Lord and the other's who recommend the Milenco, yes they are expensive but in relation to what you are towing think it will be worth it.

Come back soon Sir
Your humble servant, Kevin

Not sure where his Lordship is comming from over the Kampa Awnings as I posted quite sometime ago on these as we use The Kampa 390 Sport a great awning we find.

Some old names here kev try the rock steady mirrors as good as aero but cheaper and a extra stap .

Actually just had a quick peep and yes they do look like they will do the business, the other plus point is they are paired as, one flat and one convex.
Bit confused though, as Von Ryan states he uses his convex on the offside and in there promo write up they say convex to nearside.
Or is it a trial and error and see which suits the individual?
