Can any one help please? I have a friend who has the above vehicle and would like to start caravanning - however, she cannot find the car's kerbweight in the handbook - does any one here know and also, is it any good as a tow car?

thanks
Aileen

There is not enough information given to find the specified Kerbweight Aileen.
What year is the car, is it petrol or diesel, automatic or manual transmission? Vehicles manufactured by Mitsubishi are generally considered to be reliable (mine is!) and the sliding door should make loading the vehicle nice and easy.
I should imagine that the Sportsgear is mid range, between 1300-1500 kg which should be ok as a towing vehicle but your friend should check the kerbweight before buying a caravan.

Hi Parksy

it is a 1998, its diesel and from what I can gather is probably automatic, with a 2.4 engine. She has looked in the handbook and says she cannot find the kerbweight - I've looked online quickly but cannot find anything that relates to it. She is looking at an Abbey GTS Vogue 216 (1998) which I think has a max weight of 1200 ish
thanks for the reply🙂

All that I could find was the Wikipedia entry for the Sportsgear which doesn't reveal much.
You might get better results by asking the knowledgeable guys of the Pajero Owners Club which is free to join and has a section for other vehicles apart from the Pajero
