We have friends who have just bought a motorhome.

They are testing it this weekend and going to pick our brains(those we have anyway).

They are going to europe now for 6 months or more.

Question Gas- we know you can buy gas over there but what sort would they need? and where would they buy the adaptor?

If you buy Camping Gaz here you can exchange all over europe!

Calor etc, can not be changed in europe.

Lutz may know of a brand that can be bought in France with regulaor that is available throughout europe.

If your friends are going to be in Europe over cold weather they would be advised to buy propane gas rather than butane gas as propane has a lower freexing point and you can buy the regulators where you buy the gas.

Gas will come in different sizes depending what they want. 5 kilos, 11 kilos and it is a lot cheaper than in the UK.

Even if they are not spending time where it is to be cold the propane would be better.

You can buy refillable bottles but there are not enough stations to always fill up when required.

Good luck to your friends I hope they enjoy their trip around Europe.

PS If they want any chemical for their toilet (Kemdirect - lightweight not liquid etc) I can advise them and supply on that as well !!
