Hi Marky

Just before easter Powrtouch fitted a HD mover to my Bailey Senator Arizona. I used their "pricematch promise" to get them to pricematch against a Rhyno "charger" at

Like you David, I too went with the e-go mover. Having trawled the market it looked and sounded like someone has finally put a bit of thought into making a quality piece of equipment at a reasonable price (it even comes with the cross actuation bar included in the price- most seem to charge extra for this piece of kit). Is it just me or do the powertouch/enduro/truma movers not just look exactly the same!

I fitted the mover myself (almost entirely!) in about 5/6 hrs at home on the drive. Simple to do when they provide an installation dvd to go with it (watch a bit, pause, go out and do it, come back to watch the next bit etc...). Having previously had a carver/truma basic mover I have to say the e-go mover is light years ahead.

I looked into the powertouch mover as they obviously have a large market share, however I was put off by their price matching policy and the fact that lots of people on various forums seem to be getting charged different prices- why not decide what your product is worth powertouch and then charge that price to everyone!! It seems very unfair that some people are getting charged up to

Our Reich is 4 years old but has now eaten the nylon bushes in the end of the rollers. I talked to Reich at the NEC show and they have posted me new bits. Have yet to fit them though. However on the whole its a very good mover and has proved much more reliable than the Truma we had on another caravan. It has a fairly hard life as it has to manouver the caravan up a slope at home every time we use the caravan

We bought an e-go at the Caravan Show, and fitted it yesterday - the first fine and warm day when we've both had time. It wasn't difficult at all, especially with two people - though I did get some stares in my blue boiler suit when I went to buy a new socket as the bolts and nuts supplied had different sized ends and we'd got the wrong size sockets!

OH is an engineer and we had a look at all the makes on offer at the show, but he felt the e-go was the best buy.

I am thinking about a mover due to clutch problems on my Mondeo (see other forum).

How much grunt do they have, will it put the van onto levelling blocks?

Hello Ian,

you will need to check the specifications of the movers you are interested in, but most seem to quote their ability on a 1:4 slope, That roughly equates to climbing a kerb allowing for the deflection of the tyre as it forms around the edge of the kerbstone.
