We fitted our E-go mover ourselves. Some parts of it are definitely a 'two-person' job, so make sure someone is around who can help out where needed - even if to just pass you the tool which is just outside your reach when you're on your back under the van!

Looking at the instructions only 2 stop blocks that bolt to chassie one each side off clamp plates on one side only you would have thought 2 on other end as well to stop movment 2 only in package is correct?

hi
in theory only two stop blocks are required (on the outside) but 4 are better, for peace of mind. however as there funtion is to stop the mover motors working away from the tyres under load 2 should be fine as it is unlikly the movers would shift closer with use,

Powrwheel also supply only two - fit on the non tyre side. They show them with the clamp bolt upwards i.e. 'inside' the chassis chanel - very neat but they are much easier to adjust if you fit them bolt pointing downwards where you can see it and the lock nut.

The instructions are a copy of the original enduro which i fitted 5 years ago,the original did have a block front and back each side but i dont see any need for 2, as it is not going to move nearer the tyre with normal use.

I am just wondering how Powrtouch now based near to Derby as are Truma and partly owned by Truma can be Chinese and Truma German
Powrtouch say this on their website

I do find this anti-Chinese view somewhat interesting, although I suppose that the Japanese and then koreans had to go through it somewhile ago. Most, if not all Apple products come from Chinese factories, but the design intellect and IPR resides with Apple Corp. What the Chinese factories provide is a low cost manufacturing base so that we can buy the products more cheaply. Surely if Powertouch ensure a well-developed design that is made to goodQA and QC then what is wrong with the units being made in China? My Bosch (German like Truma) power drill has a made in China tally plate on it, as does my Hitachi stereo but that did not put me off buying them as I recognise both as trustworthy brands. One last thing if you fear Chinese products don't fly in China on an Airbus A320, or hire a VW, as both are likely to have been made in China.

Signing off as the proud owner of a Chinese car shod with German tyres (made in China)!!!!

Whether Powrtouch or others are made in the PRC seems irrelevant to me. It's the after sales guarantee , warranty and customer care that matters. Here Powrtouch have alweays delivered for me.
Other Clive hit the nail on the head, fully "controlled" can't be bad.

There's not a lot to go wrong with any mover.
Its only fitting poor parts that makes PT break so often?
I'm not put off buying Chinese, after all I'm now watching my Chinese made TV, while typing on my Chinese made laptop..
