Mould spores on wood.

I have just started to put everything back in my 08 Bailey Virginia after having a service in jan and a free wash which i asked them not too do because i appied paint protection polish when i got the van.

Whilst putting some cardboard upto the front windows i noticed a small puddle of water on the window sill and water on the seal on the bottom of the window, i wiped the water off and to my horror it has marked the wood, has anyone else had this happen and any advice on how to remove the marking would be really apprciated.

Needless to say i will be keeping a very close eye on the window to make sure it isn't leaking.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Sean

I have an 08 Wyoming . On our first trip out we had water throught the centre front window. Our dealer immediately changed all the front window rubber seals, no problems ever since.

As for the marks may I suggest you ask your dealer first before trying yourself , just in case you invalidate your warranty.

Cheers

Has the water got in because of a leak or has the dealer used a pressure washer which will get past any window seal,as for the marks get the dealer to sort it as it seems he has almost certainly been the cause of the problem

Thanks for your reply's, i have contacted the dealer who have booked it in to adjust the windows and have a look at the sill with a a view to replacing the sill, what's a little worrying is that we never had a problem with water before it went in for service. Did the dealer adjust something or am i being paranoid?

I'm prejudiced. Never use a pressure washer on a caravan. Please will one of the dealers or manufacturers confirm it is acceptable to use a pressure washer?? LOL
