Moving Experience!!

Hello peeps!! can you give us some more of your valuable advice? We keep our caravan in the turning bay on our drive, which is most convenient but the drive is graveled and as we are older and less mobile it is getting more difficult to push and pull the van about. Now this is where you come in!!! Is there a mover suitable for us? Any other tips or advice/Except resurfacing the drive as its very lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng and would be too expensive.

MANY THANKS IN ANTICIPATION

SANDRA

Hello Sandra,

Just in case you are not aware, there are basically two general types of caravan movers.

There are the ones that either replace the jockey wheel or fit to the tow hitch, and none of these are likely to work for you

because of the gravel on your drive.

You will almost certainly need the benefits of the types that

drive the main wheels of the caravan. These can usually

cope with gravel on the flat or small inclines.

Most of the makers or their dealers should be able to talk you

through the capabilities of the available models, some may

even be able to offer a demonstration.

Thanks for all the helpful info. We will visit our local dealer for

a demo as suggested.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!!

Hi Sandra.

We've had a Powrtouch mover fitted on our 7 metre van for about a year. It's superb and is thoroughly recommended.

Having said that, we had a problem yesterday when the roller on one wheel refused to come off the wheel. A call to the factory today resulted in a fitter being booked to come to our house on Friday to replace the faulty part.

Other manufacturers may make a similar product with a similar price, but with customer service like theirs, I know where my money will go every time.

And before you ask, no I'm not connected with the company in anyway except for being a satisfied customer!!
