Munich

Hi there

Looking to spend some time in the Munich area at the begining of October. Anyone reccomend a site with good facilities and easy rail or bus links into the city ?

There are two campsites relatively close to the centre and within easy reach of public transport: Waldcamping München-Obermenzing and Camping München-Thalkirchen. We have stayed at the latter and couldn't find much to fault it, although that was several years ago. Maybe someone else has more recent experience of the site.

If you are going in October have you thought of getting an ACSI Book and Card very reasonable sites in there if you see something on their Camping card website www.campingcard.com get you book on order like now as they do tend to run out of the UK version early in the summer.
