Mike my current NR awning is the third one Ive owned. The quality is comparable to other makes priced at around the same if not a bit more.

I think they are value for money, but couldnt really comment on the wear rate. We only use it for our 2 week summer break each year.

What we did this time was order a combi so we dont have to keep changing it after 2/3 uses for less than 1/2 the new price. this summer was the third time we used it and it stood up very well to the shocking Scottish weather in the summer.

we would have bought a porch by NR but could not get one on E Bay so got a Dorema, my personal choice would be the NR out of the 2

Only ever had N/R awnings been vanning for 8 years or more. Now on our second van and awning. Had one little problem with stitching on zip they sorted it straight away. Can,t fault them and price is good.

Must state this is not a comparison as only ever had N/R

Over the years, we've had most of the awnings on the market, including NR and Isabella, and NR are as good as most, and better than lots! You won't go far wrong with an NR.

We have had an NR porch awning for more than 8 years and have found more than adequate. Quality is as good now as when bought and is used regularly.

Shortly after purchase we damaged a pole in a storm and we went back to the factory in todmorden and they replaced the pole and reinforced the stitching just to make sure it was fine. Something we did not ask for. If you can visit their showroom they will advise you on which awning is corect for your van, and as in our case show you the best and easiest way to fold it too.

Nothing but praise for the company. After suffering mouse damage in the form of a small hole in my awning, they sent me two pieces of matching material for the repair at no cost.

Enjoy your holidays,

Hi Mike, i purchased a NR awning two years ago when i changed my van, i used to have a DOREMA acrylic and i tore very easy. i looked at the prices for a new awning and NR looked very good so i got a NR PULLMAN it is polyester and i paid extra for the alloy poles, and it DOES the same as the top model ie, 4 doors, 4 zip out panels or roll down. so really its a 5 pc awning, i am VERY happy with it in fact like it 100% better than DOREMA, as for customer service i'll give them 200% because the 1st time we used it we went out for the day only to return to find the strong wind had blew it and several other awnings down which damaged two of the poles and when i phoned NR to get a price to replace them they said the poles should have stood up to the wind and they sent me two new poles by NEXT DAY special delivery and they did NOT charge me for them. i have never experienced that type or service in all my caravanning days (19yrs) so when i change my van again it'll be a NR PULLMAN. hope this helps

Hi Mike, I must endorse all that Karl says regarding NR.They are of the "old school" where service matters. The quality is top rate in my opinion and prices comparable with the market.I needed a new curtain to replace a mouse eaten one and although the awning at the time was out of production, they found one and sent it FOC.Added to the above, they are British made in Yorkshire.
