We are looking for a site in N Spain. We are hoping to do some walking in the Picos but gather the roads up there are a bit narrow for towing a largish caravan. Anyone recommend a site please? I'm guessing it would be nearer the coast-which we would like to visit anyway.

We were going to stay at Potes, which is a nice town up in The Picos but didn't fancy the narrow, winding road so went for this option. We stayed at this site Camping La Paz which is on the coast a couple of years ago and our relatives stayed there last year. We both loved it. It is terraced, looking out to sea. You park at the bottom, walk up to reception then you are towed to your pitch - the hill is quite steep. Nice walks from the site and 30 minutes drive into The Picos. Would definitely stay there again. Its a few miles into Landes where there are all the food shops you need or restaurants if you want to eat out. Excellent fishmongers kept us happy. Only down side was the cloud didn't lift in the 5 days we were there, but then that's why its called Green Spain!

Many thanks Ken, The site looks good. Went on the link you gave & the ACSI discount only applies until 16th June & then expensive. Lots of people on this forum seem to get sites with ACSI or camping cheques for a bit longer a time than mid June & guess what??? We are not going until 19th. June.C'est la vie!!
