I suppose I'd best give my usual advice, swmbo is the best navigation system I've had but is probably more expensive!!

the only drawback i could see was the maps were out of date. did you read the feedback on the item on the halford site? never the less
the price is good. an alternative if you have a modern smartphone [andriod or i phone] is co pilot premuim it cost less than £40 for europe coverage comes with a RV function and height resriction abit 12 foot or 12.6 but have been using it for months now instead of my tom tom live to get around when hgv driving. impressive bit a kit for the money and they do do a truckers proper version for £140,but
never felt the need for it.......

Sorry to here that Dave.
I had a look at one myself about earlier on in the year when they had it on offer but could not make my mind up at that time & it whent back up in price the next day
Have you seen this review ?
Considering the first sat nav I bought my wife this would be like having a wide screen tv on the dashboard

.....
Have you been down & asked if they will put one one the dash to demonstrate it for you ? then within a few mins you would make your mind up as your wife would be looking at it screen herself......

Thanks for that link Sir Sproket very informative.I did look at Co-Pilot Jonny G but as we go to France and Holland it would mean paying for data abroad which would mount up,also I could see not getting Satnav in poor coverage areas such as the recent PC rally where I couldnt get Orange signal. The demo on the website looks very impresive though.
Thanks both

hi dave.
copilot is not a internet 3g ect system, it is a stand alone system just like any thing that tom tom or garmin use. it uses your build in gps just like all the others as. all you do is download the entire programme around 2GB onto a micro sd card. please do not confuse this with things like wazz or google navigation... that use internet connection...... the premium version also offers you 3 alternative routes to choose from given you the so called time difference and mileage difference of the 3 optional routes....
