new awning

Hi,just purchased a new awning with "quick fix pads"

in the instructions it says to slide these pads into profile.

Firstly I have no profile and the pads seem to have a tightening clamp?which does not seem to do anything.

As these dont clamp to anything on my caravan its very difficult to assemble the poles as they fall down until there is some tension on them,any help much apreciated,

The quick fix pads slide onto a beaded profile on the awning - it should just be beside the beading which slides into the awning channel on the 'van.
