We have had a new car, huh, a ford mondea.

Obviously, we had a tow bar fitted..

It's a weird thing very small, and the connection is behind the bumper.

We had to buy the connection from car to van that fitted this new hook up.

1 we can't find any way to fit our back plate on.

2 We went off to the van to test this fitting, only to find it doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fit the ford lead to the car.

Hubby not happy he's off to ford to see who can fit it on so it's secure and doesn't drop off.

That'll be a 13 pin euro (oh no not them again!) plug.

You can buy a convertor. expect to pay around 25 quid

If it is a 13 pin plug, best idea is to convert the caravan to 13 pin. Much superior.

All the new vans are 13 pin.

Hi Dean and Jennifer

Well, one got sorted it was a fault with the attachment we bought for the 13 pin socket. Went to ur local dealer and what can I say, 6 guys all starring up the rear end of the car. But success they sorted the problem. We still have to get things though, we have to buy a plate for the breakcable. But still don't know how to fit the back plate back on though.

Any more ideas..

If you have a swan neck towbar you will not be able to fit a backplate on. They are for twin bolt bars only. My swan neck bar has a spare connector for the breakaway cable below the rear bumper, if there is not one there, you will have to loop the breakaway round the bar and clip it back onto itself.

Thanks Zafiral

We will have to crawl under the car again and have a look.

Its getting to be a pain this tow bar I don't even feel inclined to use the caravan at all.
