new editor

No one else seems to have mentioned it, so I'll be the first on the forum to welcome Nigel Donnelly into the role of editor of Practical Caravan, while at the same time wishing Carl all the best in the future.

No disrespect intended to Carl but I think Nigel has exactly the right knowledge, enthusiasm, and attitude to take the magazine to the next level.

Welcome and good luck Nigel.

I think the reason for that is probably that they take on editors who are journalists first and caravanners second. I don't think that's the case with Nigel, which is why I think he's the way forward for the magazine.

Thanks for the comments. And I've been caravanning since i was about five years old, so it's fair to say I was a caravanner before being a journalist...

And without being soppy, I love working at PCV and can't think of many jobs that would be more appealing to me so you're stuck with me for the time being. Although I read about a chap who is a professional beer taster the other day...
