Visited site last August Bank Holiday with family. Site virtually on the beach, ideal for rock pooling and kite flying. Facilities up to usual C.C standards. Nearest shop about 4 mile. Quite a remote area but beautiful sceneary.

Thanks for that Stephen, do you think theres enough to do for 10/14 days.We like countryside walking and birdwatching etc but theres a limit to how much of that you can do with kids.

Thanks

Hi Robbo,

This site has pitches in among the gorse bushes. The beach is really lovely....flat and sandy but with lots of rock pools for the children to explore. There is a light house at Drummore and on a good day you can supposedly see N/Ireland.

Port Logan is nearby....a very tiny village, but with a lovely liitle harbour. There are really good botanical gardens nearby as well.Portpatrick is worth a visit, and the children may want to watch the ferries leaving for Ireland from Cairnryan and Stranraer.there is plenty to do and see,but as always....you need good weather.

Part of the site is being refurbished this year,so will not be running to capacity until later in the season.

Enjoy your holiday.
