MG have launched a new 7 seat off road capable SUV, which has a full array of off roading features. It did 8 days of continuous circuits on a custom built off road test track, without a wobble or rattle. It’s clearly well designed for its intended market…… India, where roads are almost as bad as ours. 🙊. It’s twin turbo diesel, but be interesting to see if any variant comes to Europe.

Some machine, goes into the water test a dark colour and comes out pure white, amazing 👍
Wonder though if there’s a market for the 4x4 capability over here using petrol and electrification. But itv would be an “uphill” challenge against RR, Defender, Toureg and Land Cruiser whose owners can be badge conscious 🙈 (TIC). And Kia,Hyundai have relinquished that market segment.
Your list of established models all have towing limits of 3500kg, anything less would be seem as inadequate.
The vast majority of 4wd owners don't need the full capability of the best off-roaders, with one or more other aspects taking priority, like on-road handling, economy, number of seats etc
