New Land Rover Defender

It looks good but will it ever rival the ubiquitous Japanese pickup for real rugged use in UK or abroad. The Arab Spring could not have happened without Japanese pickups and where would your average Somali or Taliban warlord be!! UN humanitarian aid would come to a halt without them. That's Land Rover's target market!!
 
Why save your pennies , if it is off road focused like the present one good if you are a farmer etc not good for comfortable every day use
 
Tata JLR have segmented SUVs into Luxury, Leisure and Utility - any Defender replacement will be in the Utility segment - if it's not focussed off-road there's no point building it!
If you want a SUV that's comfortable for every day use you'll need to choose from the Leisure or Luxury segment !!
 
The way the wait time is for my new one the 2015 will arrive first!! Still no delivery date and getting fed up with waiting!! Maybe we ought to change the colour again so LR remember we're here still!! OK so following surgery last week I can't actually drive at the moment but I could still look at it from the bedroom window in all it's shinyness. Then I could spend a week looking at panal gaps and poor paintwork close up. After that if I can climb up into the beast I can spend another week sat in it looking for loose trim and missing bits!! Okay so maybe it's best is isn't here yet!!??
