I am sorry to say that the new PC website and in particular the Forums are Terrible, Who is responsible for this? Were they on medication when designing it?

I am sorry guys but surely this is just temporary? A glitch even ?

I have been on some forums but this one have got to be one of the worst what was wrong with the old one?

It refused to acknowledge my login details so had to do a password request. Then it refused to acknowledge that I was logged in and would not allow me to post although it looked as if I was logged in but not with my username. It was logging me in with my proper name?
I had to make several attempts to log out before it would log me out. I log in again and this time it recognised my username but still shows me logged in under my real proper name? This may be compromising my data under the Data Protection Act.
Was the system tested before it was launched?

I managed to sign in ok. New forums always look a bit odd to start with but we'll soon get used to it I'm sure.

AGREE. to get connected the website gave me a new ID and I had to re register. It seems I am now called RayS1 after 8+ years as Ray S. Does no one ever test these things first?

The new format is all window dressing and not substance

Very sad

After earlier post tried to send direct email of complaint. you can only see one or two lines of what you write rather than the entire message before you send it and the 'send copy to yourself' box does not work.

Having been a keen fan and ex Mod for over 8 years I am more than a little miffed at being called a New Boarder with only 2 and now 3 contributions to my name,

I have asked for this to be rectified but on present performance I wonder if this will ever happen

I think there will be teething problems, as there would be with any new item, but in general I am quite impressed with the new format.
I may be lucky that I have not had any problems migrating from the old forum, no change of user name or log in details, and it seems to be running quite well, even if there are a few glitches which I hope will not take long to rectify.

Is there no one else having this problem?

Hi John, not having this problem on here, but on another forum I use you are timed out after 10 mins if you are not using it.

Ray, please give the Haymarket team a chance to identify and resolve the glitches which I'm confident that they will do.
The easiest way to compose and pre-edit an email to admin is to type what you want to say using Notepad so that you can adjust spelling and read your message through, before copying and pasting the final edit into the 'send' box confident that your message will appear as you intended it to.
Every forum upgrade has glitches but this new version of Practical Caravan is a major step in the right direction and Haymarket are committed to moving the website forward with their hard work.

I also have noticed i am a fresh border, ok so maybe i haven't been here as long as some i have still posted some topics which have gone on and on striking up quite a conversation with us all. yet i have noticed i only have one topic to my name. although the fact that you have called me a fresh border does not bother me the fact that i no longer have these topics to my name does as some of it is valuable and informative not just for us that have been here a while but those that are just joining.

That time out on the page is also stupid as a lot of us leave the page open on a tabbed page so we can quickly come back and reply. we hay as well close the page now because you have to sign in every time.
no other forum that i have been on has a TIME OUT on there page.

Lets hope your Mag still grabs my attention or i will cancel my subscription.

I am finding it tedious to use.
The "time out" has lost me submitting a long, considered reply, which I did not bother to reconstruct.
And then having to log in every time it is visited is an unnecessary pain IMO.

I accept these things are teething issues but I hope we all don't run out of patience before put right.

Edit: now to add insult it is crediting me with a single posting; I have been here contributing since 2005!!

New Edit: thanks for correcting the post numbers mentioned above.
