New Mattress or Topper?

So would like your opinions on the question of either replace mattress or get a memory foam topper?
The current mattress is only 4" thick maybe 5" (10cm) but is actually sprung and not very comfortable so do I try a decent toppper first
say £150.00 plus and hope it works or do I bite the bullet and just replace the mattress at around £300.00 plus mark.

Our 2008 caravan, with an island bed, has a sprung mattress which I found far too firm after having had major spinal surgery

. So we got a memory foam topper from Raskelf. It was the best thing we ever did. After three years use, we ordered another and put it on top of the first one. With two toppers on top of the mattress, the comfort is absolutely superb - bliss.... zzzzzzzz

Thanks meals on wheels, think thats the way to go, been looking at the Raskelf and Jonic ones so will source one of them I think

Before you think about spending a fortune ... take a look in places such as Poundland Plus or Dunelm Mills, we bought a double memory foam topper, OK, it's not shaped the same as our fixed bed but when the mattress protector and then a kingsize fitted sheet (doubles tended to spring off) is in place you wouldn't know it was on and at £29.99 - a whole lot cheaper than the above makes of toppers made to measure.
Just a thought and hope it helps. (Also now sleeping very well in van, like a dream in fact!).

Hi Lisa, still sleeping on the straw bales at the moment

ordered it last Thursday morning with 7 to 10 days delivery but hoping it will arrive before Friday as going away for weekend, I will let you know,
