We are Gill & Ken from West Sussex, we are this year moving to Spain to have a more relaxed way of life, enjoying all the aspects of outdoor life, we will eventually like to buy a house in Spain but for the time being are looking to buy a touring caravan either in Spain or here in the UK, do not know what is the best way to approach it yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated. but before I rabbit on as per usual I would end my little speech and just say Hi.

1. Spend some time reading all the previous posts here.

2. Think very carefully exactly what you want from your caravan eg is a fixed bed important .

3. Go to lots of dealers and look closely at all the different layouts.

4. For use in Spain you may want air con so price that up.

5. What car will you use for towing? This will have a very important influence on the weight of caravan you choose.

Hi Alan, Thank you for the info, it seems a most helpful site with lots of different topics to read, yes we are looking at getting a fixed bed as we are looking to spend possible 18-24 months first in Spain before we actually commit to buy a property, we are visiting the region of Malaga next month to have a look at a few, there do not seem many caravan dealers in Spain, maybe i'm wrong about that, but have not found many around the Murcia area anyway, Yes air con is a must.

We are not going to actually tow the caravan but either buy one there or have it transported depending on what we find out. We will most definitely enjoy Spain. Thanks again Gill
