Just joined hoping to get my first motorhome soon so need to learn all the do,s and don't,s of motorhoming, rules and regulations and good old fashioned advice.

I was thinking either Fiat or Ford but what ever I get I would like a fixed bed

You've got a lot of thinking to do Paul.
Just a few questions to get you started.
You say "I," so is it just for you, or does it need beds (and travel seats) for other people?
Do you plan on doing long tours, or mainly weekend breaks etc?
Will you mostly use full-facility sites, or look for off-site places to stay?
Do you have some other hobby which you want the van to "support?" (people use their vans for anything from motocross to astronomy! As well as cycling, ski-ing etc).
Where will you keep it? Is there a size limit there?
All those things, and many more, will affect your choice from the hundreds of different vans out there.
