I am Richard, and my wife (Shirley) and I sart caravanning together in May 2007. I bought an old Eccles Amethyst (1980) from a guy at work for £500 as Shirley hadf never been caravanning (I had from a very young age) and I wssn't prepared to spend a bundle of cash on something she didn't like.
Well we had the van until November 2008 and we went away 18 times in all, so we went out and traded the very old van for an Ace Jubilee Statesman, 2005 variety.
This one has been used six times since Novenber.
Great forum, had a small problem that a member helped with and will not hesitate to use in again. Oh, I got £750 allowance for the old van against the Ace!
