Are there any problems in towing with an auto box on either of the new SUV's or is manual the best bet?

Ray 80kg limit was for the pre facelift model, it is now 100kg. I have this stamped on my Witter Twobar also

Just to avoid any confusion the noseweight of the pre facelift Sorento is 112kg.

Now i'm confused, the 80kg i quoted was from the CC towcar of the year data sheet near the back of the supplement.

Is this figure incorrect?

This why I asked the question because the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year report is wrong
The Santa Fe indicates it is a Manual and the noseweight is 100kg in the Hyundi brochure and not 80kg as the CC report
If it were an auto the noseweight is 80kg.
The Sorento is the same hence in the CC report it is a auto hence the 80kg nose weight
The fuel consumption figures are also wrong for the Santa Fe
I was just trying to find out if it was worth the extra to go for an auto Santa fe (Towing about 1565Kg)

Cheers, yes i recall some one posting about a auto having a lower nose weight, just wasn't sure which car, as it applies to quite a few makes.

As the auto only has the 80kg, personally i would go for the manuel version.

I was worried by the 80Kg nose weight, but in the end I bought an auto Sorento KX2. It gave me the perfect excuse to chuck a lot of the rubbish I was carting around "just in case". Somehow this rubbish just seems to grow all on it's own. I now find that I have to add weight to the front of my Swift Utopia 530 to get up to 80Kgs.
