Have used oven in my new sterling twice. The silver paintwork is all cracks underneath the laminate and getting worse. There were a few when i first got the van which i didn't really mind but it has got worse since. should i bring back to dealer?

Also for those with swifts be careful with the sink drainer. After finishing using the oven and having glass top down i managed to melt my drainer as there is still heat coming from vents at rear of oven. think there should be info on drainer regarding this. Have ordered a new one at £15

Hi Nicola

We have the same van, the only problem we had was the silver strip between the controls and the hobs has all cracked with the heat, we are getting it changed under warranty. With regards

to the draining board melting I would bring that up with your dealer as that should not happen

Had mine replaced in January on my Abbey Vogue 495. Had to phone Stoves again today as the cracking has appeared on the replacement part and now also on the oven and grill handles. Stoves are comming out to look at it 19 May. I hope they have some better fix than the last one.

Well Stoves came out and ordered new parts again for the the oven. I was a bit concerned as this would be the 3rd part fitted. Fitter hear now and told me that they have changed the paint as it was a problem. The new parts are a bit different in colour. When I started talking about fit for purpose the fitter said it will solve the problem as the paint is different. Lets wait and see
