The early Baileys are wired daiychain, so just loop off the nearest socket, or go back to the fuse box, but make sure you use the correct sized 3 core flex.Rower07 said:Hi all , just bought my first caravan to take my family away ,I used to go with my parents when I was younger and we used to have so much fun , so we bought our first van a bailey pageant and I want to add some more sockets ,any advice would be helpful .thanks
It wont affect your insurance.
You could take it to a dealer, but they will only wire it the same, and the dealer generally only uses a fitter/multiman to carry out the work.
I have had a series of new caravans with extra sockets fitted and this is how the dealer has fitted them.
Even on my Unicorn which is wired differently, where every socket is wired back to the cb individually, the dealer still just looped of the nearest socket to fit a extra double socket, which i personally wouldnt have done, being an electrician myself, but retired.
