New to Caravanning

Hi All!

Picked up our starter van this week. Needed something low budget as who even knows if we will enjoy it? but also with the layout were looking for (fixed bunks) for the kids

Abbey Aventura 330 2003

(Pre-clean)

I bought this knowing some of the issues that need resolving but I am a keen DIYer who isn't one to shy away from some hard graft and the price tag was to good for what we got.

Issues that need resolving (and will likely be posting in technical about at some point):
>Heki 2 skylight replacement £££ (wish me luck) lost in the storm we had recently. If anyone has any alternative options feel free to let me know as the price tag vs the quality of this product doesn't seem to marry up to me after my quick online investigation.
>Rear light diffuser replacement and plastic repair (lights all working just took a light bump)
>Toilet rip out and refurbish. Shower tray and sink deteriorated. Don't require a shower unit.
> Two areas of damp that need resolving and repairing. First job to tackle and will likely be in the Technical section already

Wish me luck and a pre-emptive thankyou to all the great advice I will no doubt get off here.

I've removed,repaired and replaced my shower room,Inc c250 Thetford toilet,and got images if you want.

Thanks Mel, I will keep my eye out. It seems the Heki 2 sells very quickly, hoping to maybe catch someone who doesn't know it's rarity and value

Funny things caravans.
My first port of call for you is to ensure the entire structure is water tight. Then progress to all habitation kit.

Welcome to the forum , strangely enough I was just at an Abbey Aventura 330 (2004) today changing the two seven pin plugs to a 13 pin euro connectors.
