new to this

Good morning, We have got the caravanning bug now, we brought our Bailey discovery 500 in august this year and used her twice already and planning another break at the half term holiday, She's a lot older than some of the new caravans but she has been well looked after and loved. As soon as we come home from our breaks away we are already planning the next one way. Just wonder why we didn't do it sooner, Hopefully will get to chat with fellow caravaners! and pick up some tips on the way. We live in the Devon area but we love Cornwall. speak soon x

Welcome to the Forum and the bug of caravanning. My husband and I have had the bug for about 40 years now and have seen a great deal of difference in caravans since our first a 10 ft. Sprite 400. Now have a Elddis Crusader Storm and go to Europe for 3/4 months every Spring, as being retired.
You will get a lot of help and info from this Forum so enjoy.

Hi Carla, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on becoming a caravanner with your Bailey. Never worry about the age of a caravan, you can go to the same places as anybody else can and a well looked after caravan is a better option than a flashy younger model that hasn't been cared for.
You're definitely in the right part of the world for caravanning with some fantastic places to visit on your doorstep. We also enjoy the planning, if you want to know anything just ask and if you find anything that we don't yet know about tell us!
