A couple of possibilities - is it possible that there is a fault within the cable - or a loose connection within either plug? The 'lid' on the caravan plug should 'click home' when fitted and hold the plug in the socket securely - and the bolloard end may vary in connection. I think all the CC sites require the plug to be inserted and then twisted clockwise to 'click home' and ensure supply. You can buy a household 3 pin to caravan adaptor cheaply so you could plug in and check some items at home if your lead will reach a scoket in the house or garage. Good luck!

If the above does not solve the problem and you bought it from a dealer I would ask them to look at it as presumably you have a guarantee and even if not you have rights under The Sale of Goods Act if the product sold is faulty.

Ray, Rob, the OP tailed off and my reply was an attempt at humour (clearly a failed attempt at humour) as to why the post only ran to 8 and a half words. I could have kept going with other suggestions, although some were in poor taste such as:
...............and we can smell gas
................and we are pitched close to the cliff edge
...................and we are trying to put up the awning and the wife is not looking happy
................and the sat nav suggests I go down a very narrow road

You see.
I`ll shut up now
