If you're not scared of badge snobbery test drive the Kia Sorento 2.5 turbo diesel. I tow Bailey Senator Oklahoma with one, quiet, economical, comfortable. Read Honest John's website on this. Discounted price on Motorlogix.co.uk. Good luck.

Steve, I am shortly looking to replace my Freelander for a new towcar. The Freelander has been faultless while covering over 100,000 miles, the TD4 engine can cope easily with any single axle. However I think the best tow car taking in to consideration value for money, spec, economy and the ability to tow most caravans currently is the Kia Sorento.

Steve, there are 2 items in the General section of the Forum. 16th August CRV and 25th August Xtrail DCI.

For the moderator: I am very grateful for the Forum, which is free to use, but a search engine would be useful as many queries have been answered before.

Hi Steve, If you want the range rover why not go for a used one, loads available I would sugest avoid main dealer but go to Land Rover specialist, ours is old 2.5 tdi, pulls really well, previously had a discovery but RR seems better.

Hiya Steve, the X Trail is brill,I bought one in June and love it. The Honda will be a good vehicle, but I'm not sure if they make a diesel version yet.

Barney.
