New van/Burnt out chager

Well i took delivery of my new srite alpine,First weekend out the charger unit burnt out,ok the dealer fitted a new one no quibbles asked.but the thing is i have been caravanning for over 20 years with second hand vans and nothing has ever let me down on site,buy a new one and it packs up after two days of use,(the mind boggles)
 
The one and only new van I have ever had was the one that caused all the problems too !

I guess that the advantage of a second hand van is that many of the teething troubles have been sorted, although in my case it was a major toothache !
