New VW Sharan / Seat Alabrama

Thinking of changing our petrol auto Honda CRV for the new version VW Sharan or equivalent Seat, sat in the VW and very impressed, though not had a test drive yet. The figures seem very impressive, weights mpg etc, and the size is perfect, pricey but what isn't today, just wondered if anyone had one and their thoughts.

We have the 04 Galaxy made by VW and are interested in the new one,there is a 4motion one scheduled,it may be available in Germany now,it is not likely to be an off roader but good for towing/grass etc it would be about 32k for the 170PS diesel iirc from the continental websites I checked on.It looks good to me but would not have the electrically heated screen that the older version has because of Fords input.I would be interested to know if it has the auxiliary heater that my version has.When my heater died it was undriveable without the electric screen because of misting,the engine is so efficient there is not enough waste heat in cold weather.The sliding doors look good and the optional child seats,if they are similar to ours are ingenious.The review in one of the papers said the Seat had more accessories for less cash than the VW which is no surprise as many people pay for the badge.The economy with ours is amazing for such a big car,130 PS and 45+ mpg on a run,I doubt the new one would be worse.
