New Window Seal Question's.

Have ordered a new window seal for my front middle window.

Question''s are:

Does it self seal on the external face?
Does it come with an adhesive fixed to it?
Do I need to get something like W4 roll mastic?
Or can I and do I have to use Sikaflex/Soudal or similar.

I wont be fitting it as one of the repairs to the panel has failed and the Plastic's man is to return and re-do.
He will fit the new seal.
Thanks in advance as always.

The new seal should have a mastic bead inside which seals to the outside of the van.
They are not glued to the frame, they are stapled in multiple places all around.
You do not need any other mastic, roll or gunned.

The usual way of fitting is to start at the centre lower edge and roll the new seal into place taking extra care to ensure it is properly fitted at the corners.

When the seal meets the start it is cleanly cut to form a tight mating and a drop of superglue to seal the joint.

Thanks Damien, and for the extra info about fitting, I will make sure the engineer gets a copy of your reply to read.
