Hi Folks

We are emmigrating to New Zealand in the very near future, the trouble is the Caravan. We are trying to sell it, 2006 Sterling Europa 525, without a lot of success. Our other option is shipping it to NZ(our preferred option). The problem is trying to find a company that does it(to wide for the container). Does anybody have any sugestions?

Thanks

Billy

Try contacting Barrons Caravans, they also have a Barrons in Taupo, North Island selling British and European caravans.

Excess Baggage Group ( Google them ) will handle shipping anything from a LW Land Rover to a Motorhome.

Hi Leadlotus,

I have a caravan on the high seas from UK to NZ at the moment, hopefully to arrive at the end of August. This is the third van I have exported UK imported NZ.

We have purchased an Elddis Odyssey 505 and the shipping is costing 3000GBP (sorry haven;t got a pounds sign on my puter)

I used Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics in Southampton. Can give you details if you e mail me.

Caravans are still very expensive out here and if you have a van you really love it would pay to bring it with you!

Good luck, we may meet on the road in NZ sometime.

pps. If you want an idea of caravan prices in New Zealand log on to www.trademe.co.nz (NZ's own equivalent to E Bay) Look at "Cars boats and motorbikes" then the subheading "Caravans and Motorhomes" It will make interesting reading for someone in your situation and also help with deciding on your budget.

Did you email Barrons in Taupo. I would assume they deal directly with who ever ships their British caravans.

Southampton and Liverpool handle a lot of large one off goods such as Yachts and Motorhomes.
