Newhaven to Dieppe Crossing

Hello,

Has anyone used this crossing before and have any hints or tips? We are sailing on Monday night, i was wondering what the facilities are like at the port, parking and eating etc?

regards

Dawn

I've used the route a few times, from what I can remember there are almost no facilities at Newhaven.

The boat is nothing special, nothing bad either but I wasn't impressed with the restaurant, expensive for the quality.

There are plenty of reclining seats but avoid the ones just in front of the rug rats play area.

We used this route a few years ago. Newhaven port is pretty industrial as I remember it with almost no facilities. Boat was also OK but nothing special. Dieppe is quite nice. Good route for saving some driving time, and we had a lovely holdiay in Brittany!
