Hi. We live in Cornwall and have just purchased our first van and are staying local this year. We have booked a week at Wooda Farm Park in Bude and the site looks lovely (Bude is lovely great beaches) Newquay is OK but gets REALLY busy. Personally we prefer Bude and we live only 1/2 hour from Newquay. Hope this helps Denise

Hi,

Bude is further north than Tintagel.

I you do go there, you could alway visit Clovelly (if you haven't already).

Hi,

I Love Cornwall have been holidaying down there since i was 2 im now 43 & take my own family.

Have stayed on the same site now for the last 10 years called Newperran just outside Perranporth about 8 mile south of Newquay.

I wouldn't stay any where else its a lovely family run site & we know the owners very well now.

Check the website out wwww.newperran.co.uk & see for your self.

We much prefer this area than North Cornwall as you are in easy reach to anywhere. The best beach in the World is Crantock.

See you

Hello Joanne,

I dont know about a shipwreck on the beach but may be further up the river as Crantock beach is situated on the River Gannel & is the next beach round the coast from Fistrel Beach in Newquay.

When i was a little boy ( seems a long time ago now he he ) i remember there being an old ship called The Ada which was permanantly moured up river & it was actually a museum.

I think although im not actually sure when the ship was finally moved due to safety aspects the contents went into a cottage museum in Trenance Gardens in Newquay. I wonder if anyone can shine any light on this subject as i would love to know.

Thanks

David

thanks darren have they got a website?.
Newquay is a great area and we have done New Perran in the past (V Good), as much as we like the area. Some behaviour in Newquay in the evenings rivals the outrageous "holiday reps abroad" type goings on.

Constant drive by and Police presence and drunken loutish behaviour was not what we wanted our kids to see. We went back to Newquay about three years ago and despite more Police it seemed even worse.
