No longer virgin vanners

Just got back from our first outing. We went to the Woodlands Forest Holiday site in the Forest of Dean. We travelled 63 miles to get there via Gloucester from Almondsbury Bristol and then I looked at the map properly and it took 34 miles to get back!

The site is very tranquil and privite - just right for a relaxing weekend. Everything worked in the van and now we are just planing the next trip. Any feedback for Riverside Camping Caernafon would be appreciated.

from Jane - now riddled with the caravan bug!

Hi Jane, glad to hear everything went OK, I was at the woodlands site on Saturday/Sunday morning as a stopover as I travelled back from Devon,I didn't like it at all I thought it was a dreary desolate place and so dark that Sunday morning I had to have the lights on, where were you pitched?

Hi Big Roy

We were pitched at a crossroads so plenty of light. Sorry you didn't like where you were. We are new to caravaning though so haven't got much to base our opinion on. We had a great time and certainly weren't put off.
