I noticed on my local news (Anglia) today that a vandal did £20,000 of damage to a £190,000 Lamborghini owned by Neil Greentree the owner/managing director of Greentrees Caravans in Dereham.

Can't remember Greentrees being a registered charity so good luck to him . I bet there were times when he first started that everything he had was on the line.

Doesn't sound Brian like you have had the experience that I have had of trying to resolve Swift warranty claims with the gentleman !

The gent from Greentree caravans is being questioned the same as 4 x 4 owners are questioned.

How and what he spends his money on is the same as all of us buying tow cars and caravans, personal choice.

Good luck to him.

Ahh but at least the 4x4 owners have got an excuse (those with caravans that is, or those on farm, etc etc)

Does he really need to drive at a squillion miles an hour ?

That's a little unfair Rubix.

Plenty of our 4 x 4 tow cars will do a "squillion miles an hour"

if someone wants a fancy sports car what has that to do with speed.

We see a yellow Lamborghini quite often around our area, it is said to belong to a jobbing builder who lives in a very modest house as he chooses to buy fancy sports cars.

Ria,

sorry, i was only joking :)

My point was (and this puts me firmly in the "I think clarkson is a prize Berk") what is the point of making a car do a squillion miles an hour when we can legally do 70 in the UK (I'm not going to go into autobahn travel!!)

Surely a sports car is designed for speed so why drive one around London at 17mph !

I'm hardly going to buy a hammer to do up screws ! The right tool for the job. So although I don't drive a 4x4, I see they have a purpose.

Rubix. Most family hatch backs can far exceed UK speeed limits.

Surely the point of expensive super cars is to relieve medalion wearing busines men of a lot of money and boost their ego's and give them something to brag about at the golf or country club ;)

Does it matter if they spend the money on an Italian super car, a power boat or a beach house in the Cayman Islands.
