Hi all,
I got the caravan out of storage today today to do a few jobs on it before my first trip away next weekend,everything seemed fine until i turned on the cold tap,i have a 1989 eldiss which has the electric control panel with the green and red battery health indicator the indicator is showing as green until i turn a tap on(hot or cold for the shower,sink in the washroom,or the main sink)then the indicator turns red and the pump will not start(it's the type of pump that drops into the aquqroll)my thinking is that live is going down to ground when the microswitch on the tap is operated,the lights and water heater are fine so i don't think there is anything wrong with the control panel,any thoughts appreciated,cheers in advance danny.
 
It is the pump at fault.
You mat be lucky and be able to free the impeller with a very small flat screwdriver, but chances are you will need a new pump.
 
Spot on with your diagnosis damien managed to get a flat blade screwdriver and free up the impeller turned on the tap and happy day's now have water again,i think i'll get a spare pump and keep it in the van just in case,thanks for your help on this one,
