noisey towing

Evening all do l have to keep my tow ball greased,l have the old type of hitchlock and sometimes get some strange noises when turning at low speed and l was wondering by keeping the ball greased it would eliminate this. Cheers Lee.

Lee, if you have the non friction pad type of hitch coupling, then yes you do need to keep the towball well greased, otherwise you will have metal on metal and will cause damage to the hitch and towball.
