Hi Jon

We visited Azure Seas at the end of October 2009. We don't usually visit the east coast as we live near Liverpool but we had been to Cambridge to visit a relative in hospital and wanted a few days break. It is between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth and actually just in Suffolk. It is in the quiet village of Corton and right on the top of the cliffs. The touring area is located in an area of mature woodland and we were able to pitch with the front of our 'van overlooking the sea. There is a path through the woods down to the beach.

We loved it and found it very quiet and peaceful. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the cliffs below was wonderful. We did of course go at the end of the season and there were only a few other units on site. We like quiet sea view sites and we're not into clubs and the like so it suited us. There is a large pub next to the site entrance which is mentioned in some of the other reveiws, see below.

I don't know what age your kids are but certainly ours, now grown and flown, would have loved "exploring" this wooded site when they were young.

You can read widely differing reviews of the here:

Mine is the one from "Tim and Cary".

I hope this helps.

Jon your missing out by not being in the CC has they five or six brilliant sites 2 off near the beaches of Cromer, we go every year to Sandringham CC, this time for a fortnight absolutely fantastic site, for 35 quid a year its good value.

The site at Sandringham is set on the estate amongst the trees, you can walk through them to a little club that serves good ale or little further away is Castle Rising with another good eating house.

Its 25 years since l was at Cromer not Sea View, Inclorbra l think may have spelt wrong but that was another fantastic site, theirs Wroxham near the broads.

Hope this helps.

Regarding Nigels recommendation of Sandringham, which is a nice site, if you have dogs be aware of ticks. It's the worse place I've encountered them. We went in June and maybe it was a good breeding season for them although I've seen others post regarding the same.

We spend a week each year at Seacroft in Cromer ( October half term) and it is a super site. Near enough to walk into town but with a small pool and a bar with occasional entertainment, but not noisy.
