northamptonshire to the lakes

We are travelling to the lakes with the dog in the summer. can anyone recommend a good CL close to the M6 (think of the poor dog) within reasonable travelling distant to the lakes .

I don't know about a CL - but there's a nice site at Tebay (the motorway services), which is ON the M6. Just pull in and turn left, down the hill. Very secluded considering where it is.

Then you're about half an hour away from serenity.

Hi Craig,

7 miles north of Tebay, junction 39, follow signs to Shap on A6. Just past first building on your left is a CL - Green Farm, directly opposite the Greyhound Inn, very convenient for evening meal etc. I don't think they have a problem with dogs on leads and long quiet country lane just past CL.
