Your owners manual should specify the maximum weight for the hitch. A lot of caravans on Alko chassis limit it to 100 kg but some larger twin axles have a higher limit.I have 2012 swift freestyle s4 ew can anybody tell me the noise wait please thank yoy

So very true, try and find the 100 kg limit in a caravan hand book. The caravan maker also puts a limit on the caravans noseweight, often for Alko its 100 kg maximum. So for a 1600 kg MTPLM a 7% noseweight on the caravan would exceed the makers maximum if it were 100 kg max.
My previous two caravans had the chassis’s noseweight limit specified in the handbooks. So very true, try and find the 100 kg limit in a caravan hand book.
I tend to stick to 85 kg ISH for my 1645 kg caravan.
I hope this thread doesn't turn into a bag of worms.
