Hello again.

Thank you for all your replies to my last questions on awnings. I really like the Isabella Porch Awning but I can get a new NR for the price of a secondhand Isabella. Are the NR good quality/strong awnings? Thanks again your help is very much appreciated as this is my first awning.

Niki,

An NR porch awning is ok for the price. However in my opinion a good secondhand Isabella Porch is far superior and will give many years of service in all weathers.Isabella are in a class of their own. I say this after 30 years of caravanning. Yes Isabella are expensive, and as you say you can get a new NR for the price of a secondhand Isabella. However the Isabella is the Rolls Royce of awnings.

We've had NR awnings for years and swear by them. Yes Isabella are the RR of awnings but the top of the range NR is a good awning and will serve you well for years.

I have a Combi NR awning and was looking for a porch recently, couldnt get an NR on E Bay at the time so went for a Dorema Toronto. Very good awning good quality and has stood up to some prity poor weather well since we got it.

Worth looking on E Bay there are some dame good awnings for sale at a fraction of a new one. Mine was like new only 18 months old, new price over

We have an NR and slighly bigger Ventura with fibre poles.

Use the NR this time of year as we have the 2, wont go into reasons. However the NR is harder to put up as stell poles take some sliding out at times and the plastic "clips" always seem to move with the pole as you extend.

Much prefer the Ventura.(Isabella licence)
