We have booked to go away next week and Stu has had his leave cancelled.

Problem is, do I tow myself or cancel hol as I don't know if I am brave enough to go it alone yet - only done it once and that scared me to death!

I've just come back from France with my mum and moither in-law having towed the caravan most of nearly 3900 miles. My 72 year old mother drove towing the caravan for nearly two hundred miles.

Go for it!

I tow, too, in France and it's only the first and last mile which is scary - in between you mostly just relax and get on with the drive. When you get there, and you've hooked up and are sitting with a cuppa or a glass of whatever your tipple is, you'll feel such a sense of satisfaction. You'll probably get loads of help to unhitch, and set up once you get there and you'll have a great holiday.

Go for it Lolly! Just remember to take an extra bit of sweep when taking corners or roundabouts, but you will know this already since you have towed. Enjoy! Let us all know how you get on.

Hi Lolly

If you can tow in the UK with all the HGVs then you will find France a doddle. Not only were there hardly any trucks to be seen but there were no road works on our route from St Malo down to the Pyranees with a stop over each way at different sites near la Rochelle. Go for it!

Regards

Hi

Just got home today from holiday

I chickened out and got Stu to drop van off and pick it up for us.

Thanks to Steve's wife Jo for coming with me - we had a great time and the weather was fab!

Lolly x
