Has anyone been to this site its near St Austell Cornwall. UK campsites have some great reviews, look at going there for new year.

Hi Kev, yes we went there in about 2006.
When we arrived there was only one other van on site and they told us where to pitch. From memory the pitches weren't up to much and to empty your waste and fetch water was a longish uphill slog. So much that I hooked my wastemaster onto the tow hitch and drove up there. At the top of the site they were putting up statics. The site wasn't very scenic with a quarry and spoil heaps alongside the site. We never saw the owners for five days because I believed they worked and this site was a part time ongoing concern. Nice people though. Maybe by now it's improved but even so I wouldn't go again. I'm away at the moment but I'll try and remember to email you a couple of pics.
As for UK Campsite I wont be so fast at believing their reviews in future from our experience on a CL at the moment.
