I find that hard to believe as any figures from SA are suspect as many are not reported. Not the fault of any department as that is the way of Africa. No mention of it in the local SA newspapers. However if true it is indeed very good news.Good news! Not only is Omicron far less serious than the Delta variant but the graph shows that it is dying out in South Africa!View attachment 2713
Itโs been on the news now for a few nights with South African experts giving guarded comments that it may be passed itโs peak. Regarding its virulence again SA scientists expreseed views on that quite early in the wave. The graph and data came from Nigel Farage GB News. Not any fake news๐๐I find that hard to believe as any figures from SA are suspect as many are not reported. Neither of those sites are South African. The znbc is Zambia so not sure how they would know anything?Itโs been on the news now for a few nights with South African experts giving guarded comments that it may be passed itโs peak. Dr Ridhwaan Suliman features a lot in the data provision. Google him . Heโs been studying the Omicron progress in SA for months.Neither of those sites are South African. The znbc is Zambia so not sure how they would know anything?
If it is true, why isn't it appearing in SA newspapers? Not seen anything on Sky news either. See iol.co.za
This one might suffice then.Neither of those sites are South African. The znbc is Zambia so not sure how they would know anything?

Hate You say this, but SABC news is a total joke and no one watches it any more or believes anything it says as it has really gone downhill. However the headline is correct that curfews have been lifted for New Year. This one might suffice then.

Thank but doesnโt it say the same as BBC Africa, and SABC and even ZNBC regarding the lower rate of hospitalisations, and reduced severity. So basically all are saying the same thing. It has added nothing to what seems to be a pointless discussion.Hate You say this, but SABC news is a total joke and no one watches it any more or believes anything it says as it has really gone downhill. Doing a search I found this so apologies to Dusty. See HERE.

I did! Partying in Durban๐๐.
What is clear from this mornings news the Omicron infection rate managed 186,000 yesterday. Surprisingly, or maybe not, the areas with the highest infection density have the highest number of anti vaccers. Stay safe everyone and look forward to your next caravan trip.๐๐๐๐
Iโm Scottish by birth and donโt have it๐ Sadly the Wilts and Gloucester Standard didnโt mention me ๐ I think within the next six weeks most of us on here will get Omicron. Yesterdayโs infection figures were staggeringly high๐ฅ๐ฅThree regulars in our local pub have contracted covid, but strangley enough, the barman who is from SA, and is in his late 20's has not got it.
But it never made it into the local or SA news.
